Proforma Marblehead Marketing is a family owned and operated business since 2001. We are a distributor of products and services located with offices in Chester, NJ and Morriston, FL. In a "nutshell", we're really good at coming up with creative ideas and ways to help your company or brand stand out in the crowd.
We manage the process, so you can do what you do best.
Our Philosophy
We've been doing this a long time. You're really busy doing your job. Talk to us about your project, your budget, your timing and your goals. We'll take it from there. We're passionate about what we do and we do a great job at it.
If you're successful, we're successful. That's how we roll. We want to do business with you for a long, long time. And we want you to tell others about us.
Where It Began
If you'd like to know a little bit more about us, here's our story.
Marblehead Marketing really got it's start in August of 1999 when Lisa Rakowski & Rich (that's me) tied the knot.
Lisa Rakowski Mistkowski. Not kidding!
We fell madly in love while we both worked for the national accounts division of Staples. In June of 2001 we made our dream of owning our own business a reality by buying our first business. We bought the Marblehead Sport Shop where I incorporated my corporate sales experience with a retail location.
I began to expand the business with decorated apparel and promotional products. We moved To NJ in 2005 to be closer to family. We sold the Sport Shop and moved to Long Valley, NJ and started Marblehead Marketing.
Lisa had the marketing and I had the sales background, so what could possibly go wrong? (If you've ever worked or thought about working with your spouse, you know exactly what we mean when we say that) But some how, some way, we made it work!
A lot has changed with Marblehead Marketing, but every day we continue to help companies with their Top of Mind Marketing.
Lisa Mistkowski
Marblehead Marketing was Lisa's idea. Over the years, she did a lot of the marketing and a lot of the "behind the scenes" work for and with our customers. In other words, she was the "brains" of the operation. Lisa used to say, "I like to stay below the radar". But our customers knew who was making things happen.
Besides being beautful, Lisa was creative, smart, funny, and from time to time she would be known for taking a "shot, two, or 3" at me, which others really seemed to enjoy. She was one of only 3 people who called me "Dickie".(which my mother hated)
In 2013 Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer. And beat it. In 2015, Lisa was diagnosed with stomach cancer. And we thought she beat it. In the spring of 2016, her cancer metastasized to her bones and back. Lisa was a fighter in every aspect of her life. The toughest person that I've ever met!
She fought incredibly hard each and every day. She fought for her life and she fought for her family. However, on November 12, 2016 she passed away.
She will always be a part of what we do in so many ways. Her influence is all over Marblehead Marketing. From time to time, you'll see pictures of her doing what she enjoyed most, smiling, being at the beach, teasing me, or being a mom.
Her favorite thing to do in life?
Very simple. Being at home, in her jammies, hanging out with her kids. Just being with her family.
Rich Mistkowski
Lisa and I founded Marblehead Marketing in 2001. Both of us have over 30 years of marketing, sales, and national account experience. Together we built a business that has been continuously growing because we have pretty awesome customers.
The thing that I know and understand the most? The value of long term relationships. It's so much easier (and less expensive) to keep a customer than it is to get new ones. Since Lisa passed away, my life has changed a lot. From a business perspective, not so much. Lisa and I built a business that could operate without us.
I'm back and working with our current accounts and busy building new relationships. The big changes have been as a single dad with a special needs son and a teenage daughter. There are 24 hours in a day and I'm finding that I'm using most of them.
Thank God I have 2 great kids.
